Strengthening Community Preparedness Against Ebola
The Ebola outbreak continues to pose a significant public health threat in Uganda, with 19 confirmed cases and two reported deaths. The outbreak remains linked to transmission from neighboring Democratic Republic of the Congo, highlighting the importance of cross-border surveillance and rapid response mechanisms.
With support from our donors, Good Cause Foundation is intensifying community awareness campaigns in vulnerable areas. We are working with local leaders, health workers, and volunteers to educate families about Ebola prevention, early symptom recognition, and the importance of seeking immediate medical care. Community members are receiving vital information on hand hygiene, safe caregiving practices, and infection prevention measures.
As Africa CDC and WHO launch a continental preparedness and response plan, we remain committed to supporting local efforts that help protect lives and reduce the risk of further transmission. Thank you for standing with us during this critical period. Your continued generosity helps communities stay informed, prepared, and resilient in the face of public health emergencies.
Appeal to Donors: Every contribution helps us reach more families with lifesaving health information and preventive resources. Together, we can strengthen community preparedness and save lives.
