Ebola is Back: Vigilance, Solidarity, and Action Are Needed Now
Uganda has confirmed 9 Ebola cases, including 1 death, linked to the ongoing outbreak in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). Most cases have been reported in Kampala and Wakiso, while hundreds of contacts remain under close monitoring.
This is a reminder that public health emergencies can affect any community. Ebola is a serious disease, but it can be prevented through awareness, early detection, proper hygiene practices, and strict adherence to guidance from health authorities.
As communities, organizations, and development partners, we all have a role to play: Promote accurate health information. Practice good hygiene and infection prevention measures. Report suspected cases promptly. Support vulnerable communities with essential health and sanitation resources.
At Good Cause Foundation, we are committed to supporting community awareness and preparedness efforts to help protect families and reduce the risk of further transmission. We invite friends, partners, and well-wishers to stand with us by supporting our Ebola response and community health campaign.
