Dear supporters,
This Mother’s Day, we celebrate mothers—but especially those who carry an unseen weight. Across the world, millions of women are raising children alone after being abandoned by fathers. They wake before dawn, work multiple jobs, skip meals so their children can eat, and still find the strength to offer comfort, discipline, and hope.
Yet these mothers face relentless conditions: poverty, social stigma, lack of childcare, and limited access to education or healthcare. For a single mother, every decision is a sacrifice. And too often, her daughters watch closely—learning what struggle looks like, but also resilience.
At f ssibu Mission foundation,we advocate for girls who grow up in father-absent homes. Without intervention, these girls are at higher risk of dropping out of school, early pregnancy, and cycles of poverty. But when we support their mothers—with skills training, counseling, legal aid, and community support—we change that trajectory.
This Mother’s Day, your gift honors the mother who stays, who fights, who refuses to let abandonment define her child’s future. You can help provide school fees and supplies, emergency childcare and livelihood support, and healing programs that rebuild trust and self-worth.
Before we ask for your support, we want to first express our deepest gratitude. Thank you for standing with us and with these resilient families. Because of donors like you, mothers who once felt alone now know they have a community behind them—and their daughters have a chance to rise.
No mother should have to raise a child alone. But for those who do, we can choose to stand beside her. Please give today—in honor of every mother who mothers twice as hard with half the help.
With deep respect and thanks,
F SSIBU MISSION FOUNDATION-UGANDA
