The "Investing in the Future of Vulnerable Children" project supports 80 vulnerable and neglected children in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo. Implemented by the Association Congolaise Debout et Fier (ACDF), the project aims to improve access to quality education by meeting children's specific educational needs and removing barriers that prevent school attendance and success.
Many vulnerable and neglected children in Kinshasa face significant barriers to education due to poverty, lack of school fees, inadequate learning materials, and limited family support. As a result, many are excluded from school or struggle to remain enrolled, reducing their opportunities for personal development and increasing their risk of exploitation, child labor, and long-term poverty.
This project will enable 80 vulnerable and neglected children to access and remain in school by providing educational support tailored to their needs. ACDF will cover school fees, supply learning materials, provide uniforms, and offer guidance and follow-up to ensure regular attendance. By removing financial and practical barriers, the project will improve educational outcomes and create better opportunities for the children's future.
The project will increase school enrollment, retention, and academic success among 80 vulnerable children. In the long term, access to education will help break the cycle of poverty, improve future employment opportunities, strengthen self-reliance, and reduce vulnerability to exploitation. Educated children will be better equipped to contribute positively to their families and communities.
