International Scholarships for Change

Greetings to our wonderful Global Changemakers family!

We are absolutely buzzing to share how this project is completely rewriting the rules of community development across the globe!

If you have been following our journey, you know that over the last fourteen years, this initiative has been nothing short of revolutionary. When we first started out, your donations funded local community members to join general volunteering and capacity-building programs. But over the last few years, as we shifted toward making grassroots programs completely self-sustaining, this project rapidly evolved into our absolute flagship strategy!

Instead of just helping one person upskill for a new personal career, we pivoted to handpicking highly driven, passionate community members worldwide and providing them with full scholarships to become the actual leaders and changemakers their neighborhoods need. The results have been mind-blowing! This exact approach has allowed us to completely hand over more than a hundred projects to local communities, and they are still running successfully today under local leadership!

The funds raised to date has directly allowed those hundred-plus projects to become fully sustainable, creating a massive ripple effect that impacts over two hundred and fifty thousand people globally. That is real, life-changing impact!

But here is the honest reality: that initial pot of funding is now almost completely empty, which is exactly why we are jumping right back into fundraising with everything we have got! To keep pushing this door open, we face a bit of a hurdle. Out of our amazing network, we don't currently have any regular monthly donors on the books for this scholarship fund.

Because we rely entirely on one-off donations at the moment, our ability to award new scholarships has to be quite ad-hoc. We raise funds hard, deploy them to a student, and then start from scratch all over again. Imagine if just a small handful of our ninety-nine past supporters felt able to set up a small regular gift of five dollars a month. It would completely change the game, giving us a predictable heartbeat of funding to map out long-term training programs for our next line of candidates with total confidence!
