Summary

In November 2026, Cape CARES will return to our new site in El Rodeito, Honduras, to provide free medical and dental care to families with limited access to healthcare. For many, this brigade is their only opportunity all year to see a doctor or dentist. Your support helps provide medications, dental supplies, and essential resources needed to care for hundreds of patients. Together, we can bring healing, hope, and dignity to the community we serve.

Challenge

In rural Honduras, many families face significant barriers to healthcare, including limited local resources, financial constraints, and long travel distances to reach medical providers. Preventive care is often delayed or inaccessible, causing treatable conditions to worsen and impacting children's education, adults' ability to work, and overall community well-being.

Solution

Cape CARES partners with El Rodeito and surrounding communities to provide free medical and dental care through volunteer brigades. Our November 2026 brigade will offer medical consultations, dental treatment, medications, fluoride treatments for children, and health education, helping address immediate health concerns while promoting prevention and healthier futures.

Long-Term Impact

By returning to El Rodeito year after year, Cape CARES helps improve access to healthcare, encourages preventive practices, and builds trust within the community. Earlier treatment and health education can lead to better outcomes, allowing children to thrive in school, adults to remain productive, and families to experience a higher quality of life.
