(MN): A Journey of Recovery from Loss to Narrative

By Abdulrazak Madi | Project Leader

(MN) has chosen you to be her extended family and her source of strength amidst the challenges of displacement and camps; thus, we wish to share how your donations paved her path toward psychological and cognitive stability.

A young woman who faced the tragedy of losing her parents, she found herself in a forced reality that led to moderate depression, affecting her daily life. However, the psychological support system at "Masarat" formed the first line of defense for regaining her balance. She underwent an advanced therapeutic program integrating behavioral therapy with Narrative Therapy techniques, helping her identify negative thoughts and restructure her beliefs about the future.

Her journey included resilience training, relaxation techniques, and the use of the "Life Line" to represent her past events as timelines, making it easier for her to re-interpret them and understand her latent strength. Thanks to your support for this Sustainable Knowledge Endowment, every session provided (MN) with a solid foundation for a new life of safety. Today, she expresses her deep gratitude for your belief in her ability to change.

Together, let us continue this path, united in hope and action to empower 66,000 beneficiaries to write their own success stories.
