Across Uganda, thousands of orphaned and vulnerable children lack safe shelter, education, and healthcare. Eastlander Childcare Organization Uganda (ECCOU) is raising support to acquire land and build a Children's Village that includes a home, school, and medical center. This project will provide safety, learning opportunities, healthcare, and hope for homeless children, helping them overcome poverty and build brighter futures in a secure and nurturing environment.
Many orphaned and vulnerable children in Uganda lack stable housing and safe living conditions. Without a permanent facility, ECCOU faces challenges in providing consistent care, protection, education support, and essential services. Acquiring land and constructing a children's home will create a secure environment where children can receive the care and opportunities they need to build brighter futures.
This project will provide orphaned and vulnerable children with a safe, permanent home where they can access shelter, nutritious meals, education, healthcare, clean water, and emotional support. By acquiring land and building a children's center, ECCOU will reduce homelessness, abuse, neglect, and school dropout. The center will also offer vocational training and community support programs, helping children and families gain skills, become self-reliant, and break the cycle of poverty.
This project will create lasting change for orphaned and vulnerable children by providing a safe home, quality education, healthcare, clean water, and life skills. Over time, it will reduce poverty, school dropout, child labor, and exploitation while improving children's well-being and future opportunities. The children's center will become a sustainable community resource, empowering generations of children to grow into healthy, educated, and self-reliant adults.
