Mohammed was born with acute respiratory distress syndrome, a life-threatening condition that requires immediate and specialized medical care. He is currently receiving treatment in one of SEMA’s hospitals in northern Syria, where medical teams are doing everything possible to stabilize his condition and protect his fragile life.

For Mohammed’s family, the burden of displacement, poverty, and ongoing hardship has made access to critical healthcare impossible without support. As his condition becomes more complex, he remains in the intensive care unit relying on continuous medical attention and specialized treatment.

Stories like Mohammed’s are sadly not uncommon. Across northern Syria, many newborns continue to face serious medical complications while their families struggle to afford even the most basic healthcare needs.
