The Nepal earthquake of April and May 2015 damaged numerous physical structures, including those of many schools. The facility of Jwaladevi Vidhya Mandir (JVM) School located in Badegaun, Lalitpur was also damaged. And hence, this school lacked drinking water station for its students.
At the request of the school management, ECCA supported the construction of Safe drinking water station (along with the water tank), which benefited the entire school (33 teachers and 224 students). This new water tank is specially meant to store drinking water, in which chlorine solution is mixed so as to disinfect drinking water.
Mr. Gokul Puri, Principal of the school thanked ECCA and the donors and remarked that the construction of the drinking water station and the water tank has helped the students as well as the teachers.
We thank you for your support.
