In our last report, Ombisa was busy gaining hands-on experience on the wards of Nairobi Hospital. The trainee nurses had a brief rest at the end of this work experience and are now back in the classroom for more theory. This is a very intensive course with classes starting early in the morning and going till late afternoon. Ombisa reports that he often stays up late into the night to keep up with the set reading as well. Certainly this course requires a lot of dedication and hard work. Our Social Worker Gladys sometimes visits Ombisa in the evenings or on sunday afternoons. He is certainly finding the workload tiring but his good grades suggest that he is up to the challenge.
Thank you all those who have been supporting Ombisa and those who continue to do so. Ombisa is not taking this opportunity for granted but throwing himself into it whole-heartedly. So on his behalf, thank you for your support.
