Following the 2023 earthquakes in Türkiye, TEV mobilized emergency response efforts and provided additional financial support to its existing scholarship recipients in the affected region. The Foundation also established scholarships for 1,200 students who had lost a parent, parents, and/or a sibling due to the disaster.
Starting with the 2023-2024 academic year, the Foundation has been supporting students through regular financial aid. The funds raised for the Keep Them in Scholarship Fund are vital to sustaining this effort. In line with its commitment, the Foundation seeks individual and organizational donors, who would like to contribute to the Fund.
In the 2025–2026 academic year, the Turkish Education Foundation continued to award scholarships to 20000 students, one out of every five of whom has been affected by the earthquake.
In addition to scholarships, we have built six schools in the region. The two most recent schools opened this yearare as follows:
Thanks to our donors’ continued and invaluable support, we keep contributing to efforts to sustain education for those most severely affected by the earthquake.
Best regards.
