Sometimes the most meaningful discoveries are not about learning something new—they are about recognizing something that has been there all along.
On April 22, twenty-one women returned for the second session of their psychosocial support journey with Freedom Jasmine Organization. Building on the reflections of the previous day, this session focused on self-care, resilience, and the personal strengths that often remain hidden beneath the weight of daily challenges.
Throughout the discussion, participants explored common beliefs about strength and vulnerability. Many shared the feeling that resilience meant never struggling, never feeling overwhelmed, and never showing weakness. Together, the group examined a different perspective: that resilience is not the absence of hardship, but the ability to move forward, adapt, and begin again after difficult experiences.
A key activity invited each participant to identify her own strengths, skills, and personal capacities. As women reflected on their experiences, they began to recognize qualities that are often overlooked—patience, perseverance, courage, empathy, and the ability to support others despite facing challenges themselves.
The atmosphere throughout the session was calm and reflective. Conversations were thoughtful, and participants took time to engage deeply with the exercises and with one another. It became a space for self-discovery, encouragement, and mutual understanding.
When people are given the opportunity to recognize their own abilities, they often begin to see themselves differently. This shift in perspective can strengthen confidence, support emotional wellbeing, and help individuals navigate future challenges with greater resilience.
Through your support, Freedom Jasmine Organization continues to create opportunities for women to explore their strengths, build self-confidence, and develop the tools needed to foster long-term wellbeing and personal growth.
Thank you for helping create spaces where women can reconnect with their inner strengths and build a more hopeful future. Your support is making a lasting difference in the lives of individuals, families, and communities.
With gratitude,
Freedom Jasmine Organization (FJO)
