School Feeding Program Improving Health and Education
The school feeding program implemented by Development Alert continues to play a critical role in improving both health and education outcomes for children.
During this period, over 1400 learners have benefited from regular nutritious meals provided at school. For some children, this is the only meal they receive in a day.
The program has significantly improved attendance rates, as children are motivated to come to school knowing they will receive food.
Teachers have reported better concentration and participation in class, as hunger is no longer a constant distraction.
Additionally, improved nutrition has contributed to better overall health among beneficiaries. Despite these successes, the program faces challenges due to limited resources.
Continued donor support is essential to sustain and expand this initiative, ensuring that more children can learn in a healthy and supportive environment.
