Tree Planting and Environmental Conservation

Environmental sustainability is a key priority for Development Alert. During this period, the organization has led tree planting initiatives aimed at combating climate change and restoring degraded environments.

Community members, including youth and schools, have actively participated in planting and caring for trees. These efforts not only improve the environment but also raise awareness about conservation.

Trees provide long-term benefits such as improved air quality and soil stability. With this effort,  you hsve suppoted the planting of over 14000 trees increasing community tree cover and diversifying livelihoods options for the communities 

Donor support has made these activities possible, and continued funding will enable the organization to expand its environmental programs.

Improving Access to Clean Water

Access to clean and safe water is essential for healthy communities. Development Alert has taken steps to improve water access by supporting the construction and rehabilitation of water sources.

Many communities previously relied on unsafe water, leading to health challenges. Through donor support, safer water options are becoming available, reducing the risk of waterborne diseases.

This has had a positive impact on both health and productivity.

Women and children, who often bear the burden of fetching water, are also benefiting from reduced travel distances. For the first time in 9 villages communities do not have to worry about on coming drought and clean water shortages. Thanks to everyone of you for taking the bold step to save a life.
