Expanding Community Education to Prevent Ebola Transmission
Uganda continues to respond to the ongoing Ebola outbreak, which has resulted in 19 confirmed cases and several deaths. Health authorities, together with international partners, are strengthening surveillance and response activities to prevent further spread of the disease.
Through donor support, Good Cause Foundation is helping communities access accurate and timely health information. Our community volunteers are conducting awareness sessions in schools, markets, churches, and villages to educate people about Ebola symptoms, prevention measures, and the importance of reporting suspected cases promptly.
Many families in vulnerable communities face challenges accessing reliable health information. By providing education and promoting preventive practices, we are helping reduce fear, misinformation, and stigma. Thank you for helping us empower communities with the knowledge needed to stay safe during this public health emergency.
