Dear Donor
Amid the harsh humanitarian conditions faced by the people of the Gaza Strip, the suffering of orphaned children continues to grow. Having lost their primary source of support, they now face displacement, poverty, and the struggle to secure even the most basic necessities of life. Among these children is Huda, an orphaned girl living with her mother in one of the displacement camps in Deir al-Balah, where the family is trying to endure a reality filled with hardship and uncertainty.
Huda and her mother live in a temporary shelter that lacks many essential services and basic living conditions. Like countless displaced families, they rely heavily on humanitarian assistance to meet their daily needs. With the continuous rise in food prices and the scarcity of essential goods, providing for the family has become an overwhelming challenge.
Thanks to the generosity of compassionate donors, we were able to provide a shopping voucher to Huda’s family. This support allowed Huda and her mother to purchase food and other essential household items according to their most urgent needs. More than just financial assistance, the voucher represented a message of hope, reminding them that they are not alone in facing these difficult circumstances.
During the shopping process, Huda’s happiness was unmistakable as she accompanied her mother through the store aisles, helping choose items for their family. For a child who has endured so much loss and uncertainty, these simple moments carried profound meaning. The opportunity to select necessities with dignity restored a sense of normalcy, comfort, and hope in their lives.
Huda’s story is not an isolated case. It reflects the reality of thousands of orphaned children across Gaza who continue to endure immense hardship while hoping for a brighter future. Every act of support helps protect a child’s dignity, ease a family’s burden, and bring light into lives overshadowed by crisis.
We extend our deepest gratitude to all generous donors whose kindness made this assistance possible. Your support enabled Huda and her mother to secure essential supplies and regain a measure of hope during one of the most difficult periods of their lives.
