Dear Donor
With the arrival of summer and rising temperatures across northern Syria, thousands of displaced families living in camps face increasing challenges in accessing safe and clean water. As the demand for water grows during the hot months, existing water sources often become insufficient to meet daily needs, placing additional strain on vulnerable communities and increasing health risks, particularly for children and elderly people.
Many camps surrounding the city of Souran, including Kafra Camp, Talalin Camp, and other displacement settlements, rely on limited water supplies that struggle to meet the growing demand during the summer season. At the same time, the difficult economic conditions faced by displaced families make it nearly impossible for many households to purchase water or cover transportation costs on a regular basis.
In response to these growing needs, we are planning to expand our water assistance programs this year by increasing the delivery and distribution of clean water to camps in the Souran area. Our goal is to ensure that vulnerable families have reliable access to safe drinking water and sufficient supplies for their daily household needs throughout the summer months.
This intervention aims to reduce health risks associated with water shortages and the use of unsafe water sources while improving living conditions for displaced families during periods of extreme heat. It will also help ease the financial burden on households that are forced to spend a significant portion of their limited income on securing water.
Access to clean water is more than a basic service—it is essential for protecting health, preserving dignity, and supporting the well-being of thousands of people living in displacement. With the support of our donors and partners, we hope to reach more families and ensure they have the safe water they need to stay healthy and secure throughout the summer.
We are deeply grateful to all supporters who continue to stand with displaced families in northern Syria. Your generosity helps provide life-sustaining assistance and brings hope to communities facing ongoing hardship.
