Amid the severe humanitarian conditions facing displaced families in the Gaza Strip and the ongoing shortage of clean water, our team, thanks to the generosity of compassionate donors, was able to distribute water to children and families living in Al Amal Camp in Deir al-Balah.
The photo captures one of the children benefiting from this assistance as he carries a container of water back to his family’s tent. This simple yet powerful scene reflects the daily struggle endured by countless children in displacement camps, where access to clean water has become a constant challenge. Families must often spend significant time and effort searching for safe water sources amid harsh living conditions and limited essential services.
This support helped ease part of the burden on displaced families by providing one of life’s most basic necessities. It also offered children and their parents a sense of care, solidarity, and hope during an exceptionally difficult period.
Providing clean water is not only about meeting an immediate need; it is also vital for protecting children's health and preserving the dignity of families living in tents under extremely challenging circumstances.
