In many humanitarian crises, a mother suddenly becomes the sole provider for her family, carrying responsibilities far beyond her strength while trying to secure food, medicine, and basic needs for her children.
Widowed mothers in fragile environments do not face poverty alone—they also carry emotional stress, social pressure, and the daily burden of worrying about their children’s future.
Support that reaches these mothers does more than ease financial hardship. It gives them the ability to continue caring for their children with dignity and helps them move forward despite overwhelming circumstances.
When we support a widowed mother, we are in fact supporting an entire family.
