Over the past three months, our project has continued to improve the lives of orphaned and vulnerable children through education, child protection, and family support services.
Thanks to the generosity of our donors through GlobalGiving, we have been able to reach more children and families facing difficult circumstances.
During this reporting period, 48 vulnerable children received school supplies, including notebooks, pens, and other learning materials. In addition, 33 children were provided with school uniforms, helping them attend school with confidence and dignity.
To address food insecurity, 27 households caring for vulnerable children received food assistance. This support helped ensure that children could continue attending school and participating in after-school activities without the distraction of hunger.
Our after-school programme remained active and benefited 88 learners, who received tutoring and homework support in Mathematics, Science, and other key subjects.
Teachers and volunteers reported improved participation, while many learners demonstrated greater confidence in completing assignments and preparing for examinations.
The project also provided counseling and family coaching services to 64 parents, guardians, and youth-headed households. These sessions focused on child protection, education, positive parenting, and strengthening family support systems.
Access to legal identity remains a challenge for some vulnerable children. During this period, we assisted 16 children in obtaining or processing important national documents, helping them gain access to education and other essential services.
Community engagement efforts reached more than 220 community members through meetings, awareness sessions, and consultations with local leaders, schools, and government agencies. These activities strengthened collaboration and increased awareness of children's rights and protection needs.
One encouraging success story involved a group of learners who regularly attended our after-school tutoring sessions. Several of these children showed noticeable improvement in classroom participation and academic performance, demonstrating the value of continued educational support.
While challenges such as poverty, unemployment, and limited resources continue to affect many families, the commitment of our donors has enabled us to make meaningful progress. Every contribution helps create opportunities for vulnerable children to learn, grow, and build a brighter future.
We sincerely thank GlobalGiving and all our supporters for their continued partnership. Together, we are helping children stay in school, remain protected, and realize their full potential.
