CUSTOMS HEALTHCARE ENGLISH LANGUAGE & ART ACADEMY FOR AFGHAN REFUGEES.
Honorable Dr. Asif Mahmood Jah, Federal Tax Ombudsman & Chief Patron Customs Healthcare Society inaugurated an English Language and Art Academy for Afghan Refugees in B17 Area of Islamabad.
Customs Healthcare Society also arranged for Furniture and other necessary stuff, needed for Academy.
There is a huge number of Afghan Refugees, awaiting to be relocated to other countries, courtesy UNHCR.
Learning the English language will enable them to be more productive in the countries of their future settlements.
This Academy has classes for the English language from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm for different age groups including males, females & children. As of now, there are about 43 Afghans studying in the academy. We have a team of three teachers to teach them.
Similarly, Art Academy has 8 students and there is one teacher.
Customs Healthcare Care Society also arranged a medical camp and food camp for Afghan families in B17 Area of Islamabad.
More than 100 families, including women and children, had their medical checkups and were given free medicine.
Cooked food was also served to more than 200 families.
